The Altar Society of Holy Family Parish was established to further good fellowship among the women of the parish and provide support to the church community. It raises funds to provide the altar breads, wine, candles, altar linens and vestments, and other needs identified by the pastor. It also provides funds for cleaning the altar areas at both churches. Altar Society members launder the vestments and linens used at the churches.
Membership is open to all women of the parish. Dues are a minimal $5 per year. Meetings are generally held on the first Thursday of each month at the Holy Family Parish Center (meetings may rarely shift to a different date if a major church Holy Day or National Holiday falls on the first Thursday) from September through May and normally start at 6:00 pm.
Examples of other activities include: serving food at funeral luncheons, Christmas bell ringing, Christmas gifts for nursing homes, sending greeting cards to senior members of the church community, pie booths at the annual church picnic and St. Thomas Aquinas Academy Annual Auction, our annual
Spring Luncheon, and support for the Soup & Sermon program held during Lent.
Please join us at the parish center, you are most welcome.
